With the return of good weather, the Detox Water is back in force ! This so-called detox water is popular because it is very simple to make, inexpensive and promises incredible detox virtues !
And if behind this appellation hid in fact a beautiful marketing scam ? And if we did not tell us rather beautiful salads so that we consume more and more ?
WHAT IS DETOX WATER
The Detox Water is actually a water in which we dive slices of fruits and vegetables and we let macerate at least 30 minutes. This fruity water is supposed to bring us plenty of vitamins and rid the body of toxins.
It’s fine, but how is it supposed to work? In fact water has the virtue of hydrating us , so far so good … And associated with fruits the effects are such that it would then rid the body of toxins … This is where it stuck.
The problem is that all fruits and vegetables do not necessarily have detox virtues ! If you take lemon and red fruits, in this case agree … Even if the best is to eat directly the fruit or its juice (as for the lemon, its juice in a little warm water in the morning is much more effective).
In terms of vitamins, we know that they are not all soluble in water … Detox water can only bring you vitamins B and C. Vitamins which degrade themselves strongly in light and air . While the detox water are often locked in pretty glass jars … That let the light!
The names Detox Water are therefore wrong. I prefer them: fruity water or fruit water!
THE BENEFITS OF FRUITS WATER
I assure you, our fruity water is useless ! You can of course continue to drink … While knowing that it will not bring you vitamins and even less detox effect!
In return, the fruit water is a good way to hydrate or hydrate our children. I must admit that I have a lot of trouble drinking 1.5 liters of water a day, it does not come naturally … Although I consume a lot of fruits and vegetables in the day, I guess it compensates!
Fruit water is also a nice alternative to commercial drinks ! Inexpensive, easy to make and sugar-free bad for health, she’s all good on that side. It is certain that it is a healthy drink, which makes it a very good ally diet . Especially if you usually eat flavored supermarket water! Prefer them a nice fruity water!
All is not therefore to throw in Fruits Water! You can also consume it … For its taste, simply! Indeed, depending on the combinations of fruits and vegetables, it can be delicious.
Fruits Water allows you to hydrate while consuming a healthy and delicious drink.
- Consume organic fruits and vegetables , especially with regard to the lemon that is often found in fruit water. If not, wash them with hot water and remove the skin, this is where the pesticides are most present (even if you do not avoid them completely).
- Let your fruit water macerate for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours.
- Prefer fresh and seasonal fruits .
- Do not hesitate to swap the still water with sparkling water or more greedy, coconut water !
- Recycle fruits and vegetables if you do not want to consume them as is: mixed in a smoothie or yogurt (soy!).
- Keep your fruit water in the refrigerator , it’s much better fresh!
My favourite Water Fruits
Citrus Fruits Water
- 1/2 lemon bio
- 1 organic orange
- 1 liter of water
Cut the fruit into a slice and dip in the water. When I drink my fruit water, I crush them with my straw, they release all their aromas.
Refreshing fruit water
- 1 or 2 organic lemons (according to your preferences)
- 6 or 7 fresh mint leaves
- 1 liter of water
Cut the lemon into a slice and dip in the water with the mint.
Fruits Water with kiwi
- 1 organic kiwi
- 1/2 lemon bio
- 1 litre of water
Remove the skin of the kiwi. Cut the lemon and kiwi into slices and plunge them into the water.
